767 Pilot - I dig your style, man. I think MANAGMENT sounds better anyway.

Just Trying to read between the posts!

Not being up on all the UPS acronyms etc. The feeling I get is that the poolies will be swimming for a while! I am sure it is a correct read but do those of you that are familiar with the situation (up on all the rumors etc) agree? If so what does your magic 8 Ball say. Every time I ask my 8 ball about the mother of all mergers it is 50/50 spilt between furlough and tilt!

There is a vacancy bid open now for ANC CPT's, and another that is expected in mid-June for ANC FO's. The June bid will also schedule the final displacement of the 747-200, which will offset all the additions in these two vacancy bids.

The next vacancy bid may come in the fall, or winter, for another 747-400 or two, and hopefully there will be no displacements. However, UPS is reducing the DC8 fleet to such an extent that it wouldn't surprise anyone if they start reducing the DC8 crews as they add crews for 2009 747-400 deliveries (3) and 767 deliveries (3).

It seems as if the additions are being pretty much covered by the subtractions, and this could go on for quite a while. It doesn't look good, but we are always hopeful.
