wow.. that's a wild one.. never even thought of that.

Still wondering why no practice bid... seems more troublesome the longer it goes unpublished.

According to JL's FCIF, the first practice bid is supposed to be posted today...

Hypothesis:

The company recently contacted approximately 150 pilots regarding the "Settlement" and cancellation of previous award(s). The pilots contacted may have chosen to accept the seat proffered versus maintaining their present crew position.

Since there was an excess for 130 off the B-727, 150 pilots contacted to make a decision, and XX number of pilots did, it would reason that the "excess" took care of itself.

As for the DC-10, that will still be excessed and is not part of the "bid to relieve excess" and the B-757 will still be listed as a primary bid.

Just a theory.

(No, I haven't heard that the excess bid was cancelled....but I couldn't resist flipping the light switch!!)

Not a Bad Theory for a Minnesota Redneck.

Just teasing Lindy. You could be fairly accurate since most, if not most, of those that would fall under that Settlement would be from the 727.

Now I'm just concerned that maybe the pilots have once again fixed the Company's problem and I am confident that they will return the gift at some point in the future.... (sarcasm)

The "Boy is out flying nights" I'm sure he'll check on here sometime.
