What's going on at Gemini?
Just got a call from a good friend and MD11 CA at GAC telling me they've just terminated their Amex expense cards and are asking them to use their own cards for expenses/hotel/airline tix.. What's happening there? I sure hope GAC isn't heading down the same road as Skybus, ATA, Aloha and Champion?
Lots of good people there, would hate to see them try to find work in this job market!

I have hear from friends there that they have been parking planes and having quite a bit of time off some times. From what I can tell, there have been issues, but no one is looking for a new job, just creating a what if plan.

Just heard from a buddy there also, and he says the same thing about the corporate AMEX cancellations, and the company's request to use personal credit cards to pay for hotel room and other expenses. It looks like Gemini's days are numbered......................sad!

FedEx is fat on airplanes and crew members. I would be surprised to see us use Gemini this fall during peak season as we normally do.

2) "beating", in this context means moving daily from airport to airport
