Some over 75 over trips are just starting to happen but it is far from the norm. Adding up the higher costs I doubt you could come up with extra tickets especially in light of all the airlines raising airfares.

Anybody who would bid ANC when they could bid a flying seat in the lower 48 is just plain nuts. Good luck with the commute, every flight I've taken has been full and the crash pads and b&B are getting the same way.

Ok, ok , I'm not wanted, I get it! ;)

Seriously, thanks for all the info. I just booked room 313 at Red Roof for the next 4 1/2 years... http://www.freefever.com/animations/...men/men113.gif

Hey, is that Prozac pill FAA approved?

Yeah, but where else can you have dinner with a Growler of "Sloth" Belgian-style Imperial Stout from the 7 Deadly Sins series 2007! God bless you Midnight Sun Brewing Co. and Thank You!!:p

It's worth the 12 hour commute isn't it?;)

Dont worry Biggs, I wont commute, I'm just gonna live there and bid reserve so I wont take one of your seats to work.

I don't care where you bid I just think that whoever told you ANC has 85 hour lines, with 72 hour layovers in HNL worth 50 hours (commutable on both ends), 99 dollar a month crashpads, free Pale Ale at Humpy's and sleazy woman must be on crack... or they are junior to you in ONT, take your pick...:D

I have flown the SDF-ANC-SDF pairing a lot for this bid period and the jump seats are always full. About half seems to be priority 3, priority 6, or military couriers. I will try to track the usage and post it for guys to see which days are best. My guess is 100% every day. I am not sure of the rate on the MD-11. Anyone else care to chime in.

I'm ANC based. I've only flown SDF-ANC a few times, but let me tell you about the last time I did it while on reserve...

Got called to RO (no, not FO) from ANC-SDF and then commercial from SDF-ANC. I tried to figure out why this was, so I looked at the jumpseats. Already filled with P3s! Guess they needed me to sit reserve back in ANC quick.
