Perhaps it's just a new way to make it a little easier for YOU, as it requires less key strokes and it's on the Flight Ops Home page, so perhaps you'll find it convenient, and thus use it. Or you could complain about it, as a new "secret" tool for management to screw you with. Your choice. Plus, change that freakin hat. It doesn't look good on UPS guys, and it certainly looks even worse on FedEx guys. And try eating a little more, you look very thin and drawn.

Heard a Capt talking on the crew bus about an Intl trip he missed. Seems he totally forgot he was working that week, and went hiking in the mountains. Came back down and had XX messages on the cell/home phone.
He called his ACP and offered a mea culpa.
He said he didn't get slapped around too hard since there were/are several no shows every week. His ACP told him that there had been 5 no shows the previous night.

I suppose it depends on perspective.. I am full convinced of a conspiracy.. Why were those helicopters over my house???
I bid reserve so the calender is more important of an item there for me.. If anything else is under 'VIPS Messages' than I know something is to be done (ie.. Bid open, Crew Notification, etc)... To be honest, I get lost in VIPS with all the links... Now an 'Open Time' link under there might not be so bad..
Just wondering where the new link came from and the reasons by Kronan make sense to me..
As for the Avatar, JJ-- Told it is a photo of a real UPS over 60 Captain..

I always thought that would be a great idea to have something like that. Like LAG says, I wish it would say you're in a check in time frame for deviation. But I guess if you read your contract you would know when you're in a check in window.
