with all due respect,
the discussion was about corporate earnings.

if we started losing money, substantial amounts of money, the disruption to the seniority list that would result would make the recent issues seem like a good dream

the name of the 500th from the bottom would be changing rapidly

I get you now.

I see how you think a solid profit=no job loss. I just don't think the two go hand in hand.

If we lose enough flying and have enough extra pilots I don't know what would hold the company back from letting folks go. Announcement of a furlough, contrary to crew bus discussion to the contrary, would actually make the stock pop up.
