I know, but I coulda sworn the Subic GOC guys were saying they were all outta there by end of Dec, and the airport was basically gonna have to shut down 'cause they couldn't pay the bills without the FX bidness??

Subic was gonna stay open with a skeleton crew for a couple months after CAN opened up, for the "uh oh, meltdown scenario" just in case...

I think the plan is to close the base at the end of Dec, but keep the hub going using SIBA guys to fill the HKG slots. And when FedEx is totally out of SFS, the Chinese will probably put the screws to us!

Press release: "...as well as work closely with the Guangzhou authorities to ensure all necessary approvals are in place."

Shack! Definition of "leverage": having a Fortune 200 company entrust their entire Pacific/semi-worldwide operations to the benevolent hands of the Central Committee of the People's Republic of China. Color me distrustful---
