MD 11 Flex Rumor

I want to be upfront about this. It is an un-confirmed rumor from an MD-11 LCA. He stated that 16 MD-11 flexes quit Thursday. Can anyone confirm?

If it's true, it's too bad it's only the MD-11.

It would not surprise me if a whole lot more Flexes in all seats quit with RLG where it is. Most of our flex guys and gals are fairly smart individuals.

What is a flex?

Thanks.

Rott

A line pilot that is also a sim instructor.

The problem with all the smart flexes quitting is the guys they will be leaving behind to continue doing the flex job.

The company will just offer draft to the remaining instructors that have traditionally NOT been huge union supporters (ie. non-members), they will oink it right down, and the training program will continue on without missing a beat.

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think any of those non-member flexes have ever even heard the word unity.

I would hate to go to the sim 15 days a month for 62 hrs pay, even if I could pick up draft on my days off.

Unity huh??? Kind of like the guys the bid the 777......That's one of the problems with the pilot group! Most guys are so quick to point out other "non team players"! If we all just policed our own actions our community would be so much better!

I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience as a trainee....Just like in the 'ole days when the washout rate was nice and high.

non-MEMBERS not non-team players - huge difference.

otherwise, also an apples to oranges comparrison - the merits (disadvantages) of bidding (or not bidding) the 777 have already been hashed and re-hashed over the last week or so.

nice first post though - you'll fit in well here - didn't you also want to mention being a 32%-er?

(I thought Elvis had left the building - guess not)
