Default VCP to EZE?

I'm leaving from Buenos Aires on a South American cruise... Anybody have any advice or experience on getting from VCP down to EZE? Or VCP to GIG/GRU/CGH to EZE?

Thanks,

UPS wouldn't be much help unless you work there. Or put yourself in a box and ship yourself (let me have the sales lead).

If you are buying a ticket you might want to consider Buenos Aires Aeroparque J. Newbery (AEP); it is the downtown airport in BA; probably much closer to the cruise port. EZE is out in the sticks.

FedEx flies an MD11/10 to EZE on Friday evenings, we arrive in EZE about 2245. So you could jumpseat to VCP and then on to EZE.

If that's not convenient you could jumpseat to VCP, we arrive (Tuesday through Friday) about 1700, and then pax to EZE. Try Azul, the new Jet Blue clone, I think they fly to EZE.

We (FedEx) can't haul any off line js internationaly. Going through Brazil to Argentina is tricky. I was down there two years ago in Buenos Aires. Jumpseated on American. They were great. A Delta guy who I rented the place from in BA advised me not to go through Brazil because it is a imigration nightmare unless you can get on the gen declaration.

Yeah, what good does it him/her if he/she doesn't work for us?

I hope cargo airlines (mainly FDX and UPS since non-scheds follow other rules) will be able to accept international jumpseats one day so we can reciprocate the favor so many of us have been able to enjoy on pax carriers...

Didn't the Brazilian government decide to make life harder on US travelers as a payback for forcing Brazilian (and many other nationalities) travelers to be photographed & fingerprinted upon arrival to the US?

I remember reading about that a while back...

By the way, the Japanese do the same to us and I'm totally OK with it because they're actually very efficient but also friendly and polite when we arrive as opposed to our TSA hoodlums who often act like uneducated punks when foreign travelers arrive...

Tub Stackers Assc. is a different group than Customs and Immigration, but I agree with your point.

Yeah, both groups are an embarrassment to our nation, for example it's just sad to watch them raise their voice when dealing with passengers thinking the tourists will grasp the English language better that way...

Each time I come back from Europe and go through JFK I'm just ashamed to see how Customs & Immigration and the TSA mistreat the tourists arriving to our nation...
