As a practical matter.. yes this is how it works. I did it myself in Oct 08... but I'm still looking for it in the contract.

I think 25 L.5.e applies
A pilot is not eligible for a make-up assignment that exceeds his make-up eligibility by more than 6 CH.

And the make-up eligibility is the CH that were dropped for training. And as USMCFDX Said... it will show you on the screen what you are eligible to do.

I got no problem, I wouldn't fly extra while the company is threatening to furlough but that is just me and a couple of other guys 
. But purple1day conscience is for purple1day. Perhaps he has 3 X Wives to take care of and doesn't like anyone in the bottom 200.

Busboy asked for a comment I provided one. Since you asked a question I'll answer it. Doesn't make any difference if he makes up all the hours plus some does it?
