Had to buy a new power tool. Two different stores had what I wanted, one was less but shipping was on UPS. Bought the more expensive one and their shipping was less and on FedEx. Ended up paying two dollars more, but sent via FedEx. Sorry UPS guys, but I am sure you understand.

My comment was simply in jest. I wish the Fedex guys and, for that matter, the UPS guys the best. The two companies provide the gold standard for flying jobs and I hope the all of the pilots there continue to enjoy a high quality of life.

As for surcharges, my airline only charges second bag underneath, does not charge for drinks or snacks, has some of the lowest fares, and has exceptional free inflight entertainment. Alas, we do not serve ANC. At least not yet...

Ok, ok, if you can't beat them, join them. I'm going to get a physical address in Germany so I can use FedEx. The question du jour is "how safe is it to send a $700 18k white gold necklace with 3 diamonds to my sister?" I would take it over there myself in a few months, but I want to surprise her by having a guy wearing purple shorts show up at her house.

She told me that she wasn't interested. But I'll show you the process to make one of your own.

Are you cute?

So I entered in all my information into the FedEx website and this is what I got:

If I take my 1 lb package (those are weighty diamonds, you know) to an Authorized Ship Center on January 26, I have 3 options available to me.

International First, Jan 28, 9:30 am, $116.64
International Priority, Jan 28, 12:00 pm, $68.26
International Economy, Jan 30, 6:00 pm, $64.55

Hmmm, should I pay an extra $4 to get the extra 2 days? Hmmmm. What to do!

Don't be such a cheapskate!! Diamonds deserve 1st Class. That would be "Int'l First".
