Default 60 Minutes documentary on DHL and Wilmington

If you all want to see how bad this industry can get or need a reminder of how good you and your family have it, watch 60 Minutes sunday night 7pm eastern.

I just finished watching it. They didn't say much about the pilots. Glad I don't own a house in Hooterville!

Pilot's never get mentioned unless management is blaming us for excessive wages or we happen to save the day by ditching in the Hudson!

I think they were narrowing it to DHL employees, etc and didn't want to expand to ABX. The only reference I saw to ABX was shot of an ABX ID.

I thought Hooterville was SDF.

All of the people interviewed were ATSG(ABX) employees. Not one pilot or mechanic interviewed, however.

To the media's credit, I saw another program in which they interviewed a fairly senior ABX pilot that planned to sell his house and pull his daughter out of private school.

The media will extract more ratings generating sympathy by showing the plight of blue collar workers. Relatively speaking, the public would sympathize little, if any, for the aforementioned pilot.

That said, I don't find fault with the 60 Minutes broadcast not interviewing any pilots. After all, 10,000 jobs are going to be lost in a town of 12000.
