Bank Baby
Well well, surely the 7000 dollar bank has nothing to do with it. I'll bet it was assigned without him asking for it! Why? Because of all the lame excuses I read about on this board month after month! Like - Nice guy, He can't read etc.
Rant over, I just hope I don't step on it next month or the month after.:) |

Well, I'm sure it was a mistake, and he will deal with it accordingly. |
LAX did pretty good on VTOs so far - 2 DPs and no FO pickup. Only 1 CA pickup (good guy but he picked up another one about 6 months ago). Let's see what happens Thurs night though.

Disputed Pairing.
Union disputes pairings that are onerous or unsafe. Company cannot assign them to a line unless requested by a pilot. Most go into open time. Should not be picked up, should be left in open time to be flown by reserves. After several months, union grieves the pairing and the Director of Flight Ops rules in the company's favor, and then the pairings are no longer disputed. Sometimes the company will revise the pairing to remove the offensive segment, and the pairing is then no longer disputed. Either way, the pairing is flown and the freight gets moved. Pilots argue about whether requesting a DP is supporting the union (its not) and the company sits back and enjoys watching us fight ourselves. Make sense? No, but that is our system, and nobody seems too interested in fixing it. |

A trip that is declared onerous by the union. Usually involving multiple turns from day to night or long delay followed by a trip to or from a high traffic area. Can not be assigned involutarily accept to a reserve pilot. |
