For those of you planning to bid CDG, what is your game plan? It's not for me currently, but I'll probably sing a different tune in 5 years when my youngest graduates from high school. Specifically, are you checking out metro Paris apartments, or country living in France? I've followed the prior APC post on European domicile, but (compared to the HKG build-up), the silence is deafening on specifics for those (hopefully) headed east. Good luck to all y'all.

Theres a lot of paris apartments for rent here:

Paris Apartments : Apartment & Flat Rentals in Paris

They are right in the city. (owning and licenseing a car, and getting a drivers license in France is expenseive, for those considering living in the country side)

Something to keep in mind:

Today : $2700 = 1982 Euros

May 08: $2700 = 1744 Euro
