I have been waiting for someone to ask him that question? Will be curious to see if there will be an answer.

No, there won't be. I've already asked him that and what airline it was and I was told that it's none of my business.

Does not look good. Have heard a large number of those who wanted to take early retirement have backed out. This was a section that was really going to produce the bulk of cost savings. I don't think that it will pass unless those who said would retire actually retire. :(

Hence the title of "Favre".

I want to be as optimistic as the next guy, but given the current numbers, I just don't see how it will be possible to meet the monetary goals set forth in the agreement.

We are approximately $24M short for 2009, $16M short for 2010, and a whopping $77M short for 2011. Only 839 pilots out of roughly 2900 have chosen to participate so far. That level of participation just isn't going to cut it.

I would love to see the spreadsheet break out of who contributed to the effort, but that will probably never happen.

I don't think I'll get the chance to see my long term VLOA start, mainly because I'm pretty sure I'll be on the street Sept 1st. Good luck to all.

actually looking at the number short fall it appears that LOAs has the most amount of dollars that have "backed out" followed by retirements.

The only numbers close are the RDG

Well, the original survey showed 800ish interested. I am assuming the early out options are not rich enough for the guys, so they are no taking it. Others have stepped up, but it does not look like they can/ will make up the difference.
Comparing thursday #s to today it looks like we will need 2000 people to sign up to get to 40 million.
So, any one selling a car in alaska?

The best way to get something from someone else is to not insult them. So we shouldn't start to refer to you as a "junior J33k" .

I will continue with my participation even though on the survey I didn't volunteer for anything. I do this for the folks who are bright airmen who I would like to someday fly with.:D
