Paul Cassel, VP Flt Ops

VP Flight Ops?
Paul Cassel was once the chairman of the union negotiating committee. After negotiating a POS (Piece of S#*!) TA (my opinion), he tried to sell it to the crew force as a good deal. Fortunately, the crew force saw through the thinnly veiled sales job and voted it down. I alway wondered if he was secretly being paid under the table by the company. I'm not surprised at his promotion.
While Paul was negotiating our contract (and receiving trip loss pay from the union), rumor has it he was also flying VOL/DRF. It was so outrageuos, the VP of Flight Ops called the union and asked if they knew about it!!!!!
He hasn't been a union member for years now. He would be a good "President" of the "I got mine, pull up the ladder" club.
Regards,
Mark
