UPS in trouble at Louisville hub

Well, UPS had their first major sort last night at the new expanded hub and word is that it didn't go well at all. The majority of the new shift are high schoolers and some have left already. They are paying a crew of about 40-50 people from DAY to get on a bus, ride 2-3 hours, help work the sort and then ride back all while still on the clock. But that can't last forever. My question is that they can't keep sending trucks back to DAY to sort and they wont delay the small package planes to connect the heavy frieght and the DAY hub is closing in about 3 weeks, what will they do?

Keep in mind exactly who you are dealing with. Reinventing the wheel is thier motto. They should have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express. Oh well they will spend enough on it to finally figure it out.

Cheers

Well, I would not say that the sky is falling after one day. I am sure they will get it together after a while, maybe. I did like how there were about 4 hot DC8 crews sitting around the other night.

They could bring managers in to smash pallets with forklifts. I'm sure they wouldn't ***** about being "asked" to help out.

Psycho Doug

These are low blows. What you think is funny is disgusting and offensive. You might have had a run in with Ward, but most people highly respected him.
