Allowable deviation expense??

I'm looking for an opinion/interpretation regarding ground transportation deviation.
Do you think it would be kosher to use deviation $$ for ground transportation from home to the airport for a personal trip if this travel occurred w/in 3 days of Fedex duty?
Thanks. AD

No. It may be within the 3 days, but unless it is associated with transportation back and forth to your trip, it would not be legal to claim. And, Crew Travel Audit may have let it slide in the past, but in today's cost-cutting climate, mgmt could call you on it as a fraudulent expense. Saving a few dollars is not worth losing your job over.
And since you just put yourself on report by asking on this public forum, I would strongly advise you not doing it. Mgmt monitors this board, and probably knows who you are.

I thought it might be a problem area, that's why I asked. It came up during a "what if" discussion on a trip a couple of days ago. Definitely not worth the hassle, just thought I'd get another viewpoint before I blew it off completely.
Thanks.
Thanks.
