Good lord man. You don't learn to be a leader because your seniority number got high enough to hold Capt. I've got news for ya - often the guy in charge and the best leader in a cockpit ain't the same dude.
I think maybe the SCP's editorial should have focused more on CRM and getting the most out of everyone as a crew, and a bit less on pressing dudes who may or may not possess any leadership skills to use whatever blunt instruments they may be operating with.
