I wondered why every time I stepped off of a jet he was always the next captain.

As Albie has said, if you don't like C/O don't bid it. So I figure this guy is doing a good deed by putting the temptation out of a reach for a lot of other guys.

The really sad part, 75% of the bros will look at his schedule with envy. Someday they think I will be senior enough for that.

But don't forget this allows the company to hire fewer pilots, which is a good thing.

The dude with the massive carryover is just using the contract (OUR CONTRACT) to his advantage (albeit with no moral compass whatsoever). In theory, fewer pilots benefits all of us in a downturn, right? Instead of furloughs, we can just lower all of the line values equally and everybody gets a regular min guarantee check, right?

That's how this would all be working right now if our previous contract language didn't have holes that you could drive a 777 through. Now, we get to pay dearly to fix some poor writing that was signed off on in the past.
