does anyone have info on USAJet? Can the days off be strung together? How long on call each day? What are the options on getting to and from Yip and Dtw if no car. Any crash pads any more in the YIP area? Price of apts/houses to rentnearby?

Can the days off be strung together?
No. There is no schedule. They assign you 8 days in a row off. They are "soft" days off, so the company can allow you to have them off, or they can make you work. If you work a day off, you get nothing in return.
How long on call each day?
24 hours. The longest I was on continuous call, until I got a trip, was about 240 hours. -121 supplemental requires no rest prior to starting a trip. When the Congress changes the Flight/Duty/Rest rules, it might greatly affect -121 supplemental, and then things would be different.
What are the options on getting to and from Yip and Dtw if no car.
They are in Cass And have good jumpseats. You will need a car in DTW.

Lots. When I was there, a crappy 2 bedroom was about $1000. It is probably less now. You should be able to have your own room for about $300+. Crashpads were under $200.

Cliff,
Thank you for the info. How much do people actually fly there? Do they keep you busy or is it just hit or miss? What do guys in the left seat get paid. I was quoted something like $52 / hr with a 58 hr guarantee for FOs.
Also...are the FOs flying both the Falcon and the 9? 6 weeks of ground school seems like an awful long time.

Hi!
I usually change my avatars a lot. I liked that last chick, but I haven't seen her in a while. Saw on facebook she is on vacation in Cabo...sounds kind of wild! I miss hockey. Not much in Nairobi. They play on 3 rinks in Dubai, though, and should be there in about a week or so.
DC is still the DO.

I averaged 35 hours/month. That's why the -9 guar. is 45 hrs/month.

Hit and Miss. My high was about 65 hrs/mo. Some guys got 100. Low was about 5 hours.
What do guys in the left seat get paid.
7 Year -9 Capt $69K base-15% (everyone is paid 15% less than before the layoff of 75% of the remaining pilots-the last of 3 layoffs).

New Falcon FOs $33K-15%. -9 guys $36K-15%.
Also...are the FOs flying both the Falcon and the 9?
No. One or the other.
6 weeks of ground school seems like an awful long time.
About 3 weeks of systems, the rest for INDOC, CRM, HAZMAT, etc. About normal for a -121 airline.

Have you checked out the hockey action at the ice rink at the Panari Hotel. It's on the road to the airport.
