Thanks if advance.:o

sort of your signing bonus to help you vote for a weak deal <G>. It is retroactive money to make up for the raise you didn't get when you should have 60k for captains, 40k for FO's and pfe's, 34 k for FE's. Makes that yes vote a little more tempting, no?

Does that mean that a newhire f/o gets the same $40K as an f/o that has been there 5 years? If so, that's total BS.

you wouldn't say that if you were the f/o that had been one for 1 week. Sorry that you feel it is a bunch of bull. Should it make the 5 year guy feel better if the newhire f/o got a worse deal?

Did you mention where you worked?

Actually that's an interesting question. Do you have to be off probation to receive the payout, or just on the property at the DOS? Or would it go by date of announcement?

Everyone on property at the date of signing gets a bite of the apple. For probationary members it is as follows

2. Crewmembers who are in probationary status on the date of ratification shall be paid
retroactive pay based on the difference between the hourly rates in the new and prior
Agreement and the number of guaranteed hours paid as a probationary employee.

I'm going to have to say that I am amazed at how quickly they have gotten the information out to us.

You have to be off of probation to receive the payout according to #2 of the bonus section. The probationary pilot gets retro from the difference of the new rate (which is less than stellar) from the old rate multiplied by hours of guarantee accumulated as a probationary pilot.

Did they improve the Newbie pay?

Browntail 06-30-2006 03:17 PM

A buddy of mine just called and said that their newhire pay is now a whopping $33.33/hr! Where do I sign up?

Not by much:

(T/A rates)
