Chuck:

I'm hopeful that all the managers don't think as little of the line crew force as you do.

If I changed the context and implied somehow that they did, how would I be any different than you by painting you all with the same broad brush?

These people in Haiti aren't going to be late on their house payment because of poor planning and 4A2b. They don't have homes. They aren't worried about what their daughters are going to drive to the preppy college this year. They are digging them out from under a pile of rubble.

When you need the TD you give the ball to the ones that perform.

WOW, only management guys perform or something like that, right? How does this company survive without them, they're the only ones that move the freight, right? WOW!

Chuck is what's wrong with FedEx Flt Ops management. What a jerk.

Let's get this thread back on track (btw, thanks for reopening it, Mr. Moderator!)

Just got word via FCIF the first airplane in is a 727 due to weight and field restrictions.

Any word on the Wyclef Jean angle? (we were delivering donations from his charity)

Let's get this discussion back on the high road.

Cheers

This has indeed been an interesting thread, one in which I've seen virtually 100% agreement from those posting here, something that I don't remember seeing before. So Chuck, could you please repost something like your last post, sometime just before contract openers. Thanks for your help.

As for the Haitian catastrophe, I hope by now each and every one here has not only contributed what you can, but made sure that their friends; families; and others are aware of the drastic need for donations. The death toll is up over 140,000 people, with tens of thousands still missing or unaccounted for. Please, everyone, do what you can, and do it as soon as possible.

JJ,

Excellent post. We've given to the cause and I would volunteer my time flying cargo to help out. It is a real desperate situation there. A catastrophe beyond belief.....

Chuck,

Your remarks make very clear your disdain for the FedEx line pilot. It is very telling and informative to know what we're up against when we call a flight management member for "help". This is also an example of what happens when poiliticians are in office too long and how they view their constituents. Perhaps you should offer up you line number so you can separate yourself from the rest of the scum.

As for the disaster in Haiti, I know for a fact a number of the scum of which you speak have offered to fly for free to deliver the goods.

God bless the victims of this devastating disaster. As has been stated, the thugs who have held this country in the stone age with machetes may be one of the biggest obstacles to the success of the operation.
