FedEx to airlift medical aid to Haiti
The aid consignment will be transported by FedEx, a major contributor to Direct Relief's emergency response work, which is again donating its legendary logistics expertise as well as airlift for the consignment.

Is FedEx just doing the one flight or does anyone know if they plan more? What aircraft do they take and how do they man the trip? (I'm not looking to pick up open time, just curious if managers fly the trip or if it is assigned to a crew)
I heard that UPS will ship any box of supplies under 50 lbs for free to Hati. |
Just saw on TV ... they were loading 5 C-17's at KWRI. The "pilot" said he has enough fuel to fly to PAP, hold for a while, and fly back to KWRI ...

Aeris, your sarcasm is refreshing, and awaited on a daily basis....seriously!:) |
Historically whenever a new destination was opened, it was first "visited" by either a management crew or a flight standards crew. Why should this be any different? The important thing is FedEx is bringing in much needed supplies to a country that currently has less than nothing.
