hey ups bubbas
how much savings via the mou does ups get if the faa changes the rest rules in april and the new rules requires everybody to come back off rdg and loa?
better get some new savings in place in time " we suggest that other possibilities should involve a willingness to explore solutions that could involve contractual terms."
after all, ups shouldn't be left to shoulder the new rest rules and regulations all by themselves after they've been so gracious to ipa this past year.
better get the new savings in place quick before the furlough monster comes. booga booga

We all enjoy a good flamebait post, but thats all you can muster??? Better flamebait comes out of a crackerjack box.
Please practice on the other websites and come back when you have some experience.

very good now you're thinking.
can you think of any other possible reason for the big brown monster to throw away a $100+ million deal on paper, other than that those savings would never materialize because of the new regulations?
hmm? but maybe there are other ways to get the savings if the big brown monster can make it scary enough.

You know, back in 1989, when I was hired at UPS, there were two guys in my new hire class that we found out a week or two later, were hired as flight managers. Both were rather "strange", unsociable, and non-friendly folks. After all these years, you'd think that UPS would have found out that these types of guys are really a throwback to an earlier, more contentious time, but I guess not. Weatherman, you sir fit the mold perfectly, and although I no longer work for Brown, can tell that you fit right in as just another misfit.

I think Weatherman was being sarcastic, not baiting. I agree. The MOU was not the permanent savings that they seem to want.
