I am not close to sixty yet and it looks like they will have to change the rule to seventy to cover all the months I am adding.

If it fails many will suffer for no reason other than a few at the bottom had to keep lists and slam senior pilots to make themselves feel good.
My original post was to make the point that slamming someone who you want something from usually gets you nothing . If you aren't smart enough to figure that out you have a problem.
What you just don't get is that there are a-holes in the top, middle, and bottom of our list (just like every other pilot group). Sure there are some junior guys putting out a bunch of bs, but it's no different than the crap you're spewing. You criticize the "entitlement" of the junior pilots about to be furloughed, then try to rub their nose in the fact that you'll stay pass 60 because someone on an internet message board says something that you don't like. Doesn't make much sense to me, but knock yourself out.

Fortunately, people like you are the minority in the IPA. Retire when you want and vote however you like on the COBRA vote, most of us could care less what you think or do. I would say most of our pilots have a little more common sense than to base important decisions on what someone says on APC.

You are no different than the junior people that you find so offensive.

Actually I am very different. I am trying to make a point that the behavior of those in the group asking for assistance is starting to have an adverse impact on the objective of obtaining cobra assistance. I am hearing more and more away from the message boards about the attitude and the reduction in desire to help as a result of the attitude. I base no decision on what is said on APC or the B&G, I do however listen to people I have known for years.
So have at it.

Well, let's see here......if the geezers would retire, they young'ns wouldn't have to be worried about furlough.

Add a month for that.

You are no different. You ARE the small percent within your group that Lester describes.

You are probably in the small minority that didn't contribute to the MOU. You are probably in a sliver of the population that will justify picking up open time because of "fill in the blank".

This group is now pretty darn unified but it's guys like you that splinter away. You are just waiting, looking for a reason to be...... entitled.

And you are "probably" wrong.

We'll then maybe we can all quit throwing generalizations out against a group by listening to individual posters on an anonymous forum?
