His deceit had nothing to do particularly with his 'heritage'. The guy had been recently living in Dallas, where he got his DA -20 Type Rating . .and met Asst. Chief Pilot Kupperman at the hotel bar, so we all attributed it to something he picked up in Texas. As you might be aware, we got a lot of major *********s coming out of there (TX) lately. Interestingly enough, he was the ONLY guy I know of who was hired during that 'start up' time period with the requisite DA-20 Type . .who did not get it at the Plantation School House in MEM.

I work for Connie, we have 2 guys living in Thailand and one in Scotland. They are on their own to get to a company served city and ride the system from there. They do lose a day or two on the commutes, though most lines run consecutive days so its just once a month.

Rama: when you say they are on their on, does that mean they have to pay for flight tickets out of their own pockets? or do you guys get to jumpseat on american carriers for free provided there's room? Also, do you get ID fare or Z (zone) fares with the rest of the carriers?

They have to pay out of pocket to get to a company serviced city. Pretty cheap to get from Bangkok to Hong Kong. Getting home, the company will buy them a ticket to fly anywhere in the lower 48 and then they are on their own to get accross the pond. The one Captain JS pretty regurely out of SFO.

I'll take the leap and say 'on their own' means that they get to the Company city any way they can: . . a) buying a ticket. .or (b) riding someone's jumpseat. Pretty sure Connie & Atlas are CASS rated and can ride anyone's jumpseat. .limited to first come, first served, 'space A'. .
