jumpseating on FedEx out of DFW

Hey im listed out of dfw on a flight tonight. How do i get from he terminals to the fedex ramp? Is there a bus or any kind of employee transpotation?

Last time I jumpseated out of DFW, I took a cab to the FedEx area. There is a little security area you will have to be dropped off at.

Any info on the DTW airport? Any shuttles or is it a cabs in DTW?

There's a hotel right across the street from the ramp, though I can't remember what one.... you could get a ride on their shuttle, then cross the street. Anyone know the hotel name?

The Marriott Hotel on Freeport Drive will sometimes drop you at the FedEx ramp for ten bucks. If you take a taxi from the terminal, it will cost $25. Be careful with the taxi drivers at DFW. They will complain about the short fare and will sometimes try to take you off the airport property for a higher fixed fare. It should be no more than $25. They can drop you at the security shack and they will escort you in to the ops area after you go thru screening. Welcome aboard.

unfortunately you have to take a cab. I think its 12 bucks for metro cars or something like that.

DFW gouge

I'm a DFW FDX commuter; here is the gouge:

At the terminals, look for FastTrack/PCA vans downstairs. Slip the driver a $5 spot and ask to be dropped at FedEx. They will drop you at the back of our parking lot - walk through the lot and over to security. I use FastTrack all the time with 100% success.

If you are going to the terminals from FedEx, go out the back of our parking lot and wait on the road with same said $5 spot. FastTrack and even Parking Spot north or a hotel van will take you TOWARDS the terminals. FastTrack is the only one guaranteed to take you towards the ramp.
