They are the copy watches the street hustlers use on tourists. The crystal is made of cheap glass that scratches if you look at it wrong. They are similar copies but no where near exact and are easily identified as copies by anyone with any knowledge of watches. The rolex crown on the cheap ones is glued on the stem like a cover whereas a good copy will have a one-piece cast solid stem. The screws on the band of my submariner are all exactly the same. The movement or sweep of the second hand is also a good identifier. The really cheap copies use a quartz movement so the second hand sweep moves in a click click movement each second. The so-so copies haav a continuous sweeping movement but it's not as smooth as a good copy which moves very smoothly.
You get what you pay for. I'm very happy with the watches I've purchased and like I said they all are working today. I have two with gold plating and one with rose gold and they still look great with no quality issues. I've changed a couple of batteries over the years but that is to be expected. Jammy's prices have gone up recently because of the exchange rate for our worthless dollar.
