Getting an interview with FedEx

I was just curious how the whole working at FedEx than getting an interview process works? Are there only specific job title's that get this or can anyone including package handler's get this benefit? What if i get a job at FedEx now and work there for over a year, can I save my gauranteed interview for later on down the road when I have enough hours to apply for a pilot slot?

I would really appreciate some input on the subject. :D

I believe you are guaranteed an interview for any position you want and are qualified for, as long as the company is hiring for that position. So if you meet all of the requirements and are an employee with the company, you can get an interview for a pilot position as long as they are still hiring pilots. If you don't have the flight time, when you have a year of employment, you would have to wait until you meet all of the requirements. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I agree. But if Joseph is asking if a former employee can get the interview, I would think that you would have to be currently employed to get the interview. Not work for them now, and return for the interview years later.

Sounds right. We have all kinds of guys flying the line that threw boxes or drove the bus to the flight line. Even used tuition reinbursement for some flying. One friend was flying for Airdinks and throwing boxes at the same time to get his interview. Good luck.

How can someone handle flying for a regional and having to be at the FedEx job everyday?

If I did get an interview by working for FedEx, does this carry the same weight as a contact getting me one?

An interview is an interview no matter how you get it.
