Sounds good, but the love for social engineering would be strongly against it.

From what I gather, The Tea Party folks believe in less government and lower taxes. Since you deride them, it's fair to assume you believe in bigger government and higher taxes. Your mantra is "leaning to the left" so at least you're consistent. Keep up the good work, we're all counting on you.

The next thing we are going to see is EU style austerity measures, not because they want them, but because they are going to be forced on them by economic reality.
And the results of such measures can be less than desirable.

Don't forget that they are also talking about instilling VAT. That's the worst, right up there with the removing the tax credit for mortgage interest. Any or all of these tax "plans" can have a deleterious affect on our fragile "jobless" economic recovery.

Go anywhere and see dozens of businesses shuttered. Throughout the nation thousands or maybe even millions of houses are foreclosed and sit vacant. This from decades of people living above their means, getting zero down payment mortgages from greedy banks that knew the government would bail them out as they were "too big to fail".

We are still allowing outsourcing. We outwardly tolerate illegal immigration with these people taking jobs that historically were moderately well paid, some were even in the trades. All the while there are millions of able bodied people that are on the dole, will always be on the dole, and the their only contribution to society is to flood it with children that are programmed to do the exact same thing. All they do is just permanently leech off good hard working people, some that are working a multitude of jobs to just make ends meet.

We accept a constantly lowering level of mediocrity in all fields of goods and services. This extends into the acceptance of substandard performance in the educational environment, and an overwhelmingly corrupt political system.

Whatever the government or is that "gummint", does now will have to be accomplished very carefully. Can you say "Cause and Effect". I knew you could.

I could go on and on.

End Rant.

Especially if you believe everything you read on a fringe conspiracy theory website.
Living within your means can be painful when you've never been forced to do it before.

Sure we can but I dont think AA started it. But nancy and harry might have had a little something to do with the TSA. Come to think of it they sort of were for the war before they were against it. Kinda like barry was against gitmo before he was for it.
