Of course, after 15 years, you get nothing for that.
I saw that UPS only goes out to 12 years, as do most major pax carriers. One could look at 15 years as a benny for us. My college roomate at AA has long been maxed out (12 years.)

fdx727...

UPS new ta goes out to 15 yrs as well...current 12 yr capts are redlined to 15 however. FO % at 15 at end of contract is 71% of left seat.

YMMV

It depends upon what your maxing out at. If you max out at the same relative pay at 15 years that others are doing in 12 then the 15 year max out folks are falling behind in the last 3 years. Now if both have the same relative pay at 12 years and you keep getting higher pay rates in years 13, 14, and 15 then it would be better.

IMHO anyway
That's funny because some of our (UPS) guys were freaking about our payscale going from 12 to 15 years.

Default B Fund...

You want to put as much as you can into your B Fund. Those are company dollars. The 401K money is your money, taken out of your pay. You might have some matching, for example, FedEx matches 50 cents of the first $1000 for a whopping additional $500 each year.

The question should be (as Overnitefr8 mentioned,) is the new 12 year pay a raise from the old 12 yr pay? If it is, good. Are the new 13-15 yr rates raises from the new 12 yr rate? If so, where's the complaint? If not, then you can *****.

I guess that's one way to look at it.

How about "why wait til 12 to get what you should at 5?"
