SkyLease Cargo information ?
Hello to all.
After having done extensive search, both here, and at other forums,
there is very little information about SkyLease Cargo.
Has anyone gone through the hiring process recently?
What to expect on the interview?
Are schedules still 20 days on per month, with a 2 hr call-out on reserve?
Are there hard lines? Overnights or mostly turnarounds?
Average hrs/month, flying and duty.
What do you like or dislike about working there?
Thanks in advance

CE 750,
is that your first hand experience, could you elaborate please?
In order to make an educated decision, based on my current life situation, I would need specific information.
In my career I have had the pleasure to be associated with one of the best,
but to get there, had to take some of the worst.
Thanks for your reply

So far what has been effectively communicated, is that SkyLease is not a desirable place to work.
We would be quite interested in knowing more details.
I am, unfortunately, in a position where an immediate job, is becoming a matter of survival.
As such, I would appreciate additional information on WHY SkyLease is so undesirable.
By asking that, I by no means intend to doubt the validity of the opinions expressed.
Just asking for the facts, if anyone has them.
If the recent PMs I received, are any indication, I will not be the only one to benefit from this information.
Additionally, a similar thread was opened requesting info on SkyLease.
Could someone please shed some light, by responding to my initial post in this thread?
That would be very helpful.
Thank you.

I am also curious if some people can shed some light on SkyLease.
I see they're advertising for MD-11 FO.
EDIT: Only thing I can see from their web page is that they have shifted around a few different aircraft types and seem to now be only operating the MD11

Well gang I know a few people there and spoke with their recruiter today. I do a "phone interview" tomorrow and will probably receive a class date. They told me today that the Basic Indoc is done via Internet video conference and therefore the first 9 working days are in your living room in PJ's with a cup of coffee! Also, the pay in training is $3,100 per month, Medical/Dental starts 30 days after the first day of Indoc, and EVERYONE gets a FULL MD11 Type with Captain IOE and Line Check. Captain upgrade based on MERIT NOT SENIORITY. I.E. if you are lazy, can't fly, or just a general F@$K UP; count getting comfortable in the right seat. So far I like what they have to say. Frats and Good Luck to all, L
