Default FDX - Week of SUB ???

I have a week of SUB, lucky me, and was assigned 5 trips accordingly. My question is, can I selectively deny one of the trips?

Think I can as I read it, but I have to at least do the first one, right?

Also, I keep old bank, but can I use old plus new to buy a ticket?

Default sub

If you have a 5 day footprint....and you (for example) want to fly the first one - but dont like the second trip of the substitution....you can elect not to do it.

BUT you will lose everything from that point on with respect to the original footprint. if you foot print was 32 ours of pay and you flew the first 6 hour trip of sub - but then elected not to do the next....the remaining 26 hours of the footprint are done. You can not elect to just skip one trip.

so basically - you are hosed.

Long Sub windows stink.

Hope it helps

Yet another problem with our current CBA that could have been fixed with this TA.

But then, the company was unwilling to change that part of the contract, so we have to just accept it.

"Hey, its FedEx" so don't expect much from management at the bargaining table.

Thanks.

So what if the assigned flying leaves balance of 5 hours to makeup, do I have to make it up? Or am I paid for it no fault of my own?

Whatever part of your guarantee for the sub trip(s) remains for flights you declined, will show up as OTP in your pay screen. You are pay protected for OTP for this and the 2 following bid periods.

The trick is to try and do the PMU in the last month, because it will offset the deduction for the OTP in the same pay period then. It really does not matter, but for some if you do the OTP earlier, you are paid "extra" since you did not lose the trip guarantee yet and then it is always take back the last month without a corresponding credit, keeps the pay check more normal.

Hope this helps.

if you go into VIPS, you should be able to do all the transactions there. Look for the sub tab. if not you can call but they will probably direct you back to vips.
