Quote: FWIW--dark navy suit & red tie was the "interview uniform" recommended by the gouge back in the day (late 2004). It was pretty funny. If I recall from my interview group: 6 gents in that outfit, one female in a charcoal business outfit, and a fashionably-daring guy in a brown suit. I'm sure there were other bigger factors assessed, but brown suit dude didn't get hired--everyone else did. May have changed since then, but haven't seen/heard otherwise. Where's Kit Darby when you need him? (Talk to Albie)
I wore a brown suit to both of my airline interviews (A "legacy" and FDX) and got hired both times...

so I guess there is at least one person successful with the brown.. even at purple.

Yes, but your white polyester disco suit did not bode well on your last layover now did it?

Actually, my buddy is a new hire and they told them to wear a black suit and a red or blue tie on the first day of Basic Indoc. LOL. That tells you what you should wear to the interview IMHO

How can "they" tell you what to wear? You're already hired -- right?

OK then, just show up in overalls because while you are hired, nobody can tell you what to do, especially in amerika. Maybe, just maybe it's for a class pic.

The naivete.....

We have a uniform policy and they tell me how I shall dress in my uniform.

We have a dress code policy for ground school events.

We have a dress code policy for deadheading.
