Welcome to Guam

Saw a MD-11 taking off while I was down on the beach yesterday. I thought FDX would not be coming in until 3rd quarter. Anyway, If it is HNL I assume JS will be available to CASS approved carriers? - Thanks (UACAL/GUM)

All of my FedEx Guam trips have been Charters. I do not what the policy is concerning CASS j/s on Charters? Anybody?
I do know that intl j/s's are not permitted on FedEx, although the junk mail I get from the union/management suggests that may be in the process of changing? Anyone know for sure?
Sorry I couldn't be more help to the o/p question?

I am pretty sure I read an ALPA email that said TSA has now approved the international off-line jumpseat for all CASS carriers.
I have not yet tried it. But it seems like it's a done deal. (Not sure how TSA's approval relates to individual airline policies).
To call FedEx jumpseat coordination (even though they might also not be aware of the change yet...) dial 1-866-357-5711
Or, contact your Jumpseat Committee.
Good luck.

I'm taking an MD11 out of Guam next weekend on the 29th. Looks to be scheduled weekends for June - the inbounds are coming from ANC on Saturdays and the outbound to TPE on Sundays.

I think if it's a charter, you have to get approval for the jumpseat from FedEx Charters before Jumpseat admin will reserve it. I think this includes FedEx crewmembers.
I jumpseated from ATL-MEM after a HNL-ATL charter to the Aquarium. The flight was still under Charters' control. I needed an email from Charters to JS Admin that it was ok. No big deal to get; just another thing to deal with. Sorry, I don't have their number with me.

I do believe you'll need approval from Charters to get on the jumpseat list for a charter flight but I must also warn potential jumpers on charter operations that it gets very crowded in our plush courier area. On certain flights, the Captain may not allow you to jumpseat with the other 2 horse attendants, a loadmaster, and a maintenance guy plus the RFO.
If it's one dude trying to get to Guam with an RFO, no big deal IMO.

Thanks Guys. Getting off the rock can be near impossible at times. We have many guys who need to get to HNL, I didn't think ANC, but I would like to go eat some crab someday. I figured FDX would have a "domestic" flight to HNL, and it would be just a matter of finding the right ramp at the right time. Guess it is a little more complicated..We can't even ride on our own charters.
