If I'm wrong, correct me...but this is a stinker...RCT for your 3 day event is a 10 day event. That is okay, build the pairing to and from Memphis, etc, however, you are paid at 4.5 a day.

Combine that with the way our lines are and if you have to drop a block of Rdays, you could be facing a pretty big loss of cash.

The loss of the cash for dropped days during your training month is a big stinker in this current contract. Small paycheck for that month, and then you get paid for your training the next month, but at a reduced amount.

Yeah, I know, you can pick up trips before everyone else, but then you end up work every day that month...(oh, that is if your senior enough to get the trips)

Am I seeing this correctly?

Sounds about right. That lovely deal was, I believe, negotiated in the previous contract many years ago. Same thing happened to the SFS guys. We found out real quick how you will get paid the following month for training. And if your training (11 day footprint; NOT a "pairing"!) knocks out most of your trips for that month, the following couple of paychecks are pretty small. Why not give the Company an interest free loan!

Kind of is the answer, you would be correct if there was not a provision in the FDA LOA that changes the normal process where you are deducted your lost trip/reserve credit hours due to training. They leave your awarded BLG in tact and then deduct the conflicted hours in the next month when you training pay is paid. Although you may not have a dollar for dollar offset, it allows you to not have to work every day in the training month simply to avoid a small paycheck.

Did I read the results wrong? Aren't they still missing a very large number of MD-11 MEM?

98 unfilled in the FCIF and only 46 had been awarded it. So, that would leave 52? I probably can't read...or interpret.

Humpty: Those are the spots left vacant from the posting. Yes I skipped the MD-11 MEM.

On round 3 there are indeed 52 vacancies on the -11 MEM list as well.

My bad.

No biggie. Just trying to get more accurate numbers for hiring. Plus, throw in all the retirements. Wow.
