OK.....one more try.

Anyone have any additional information on the tail strike at Subic?

I went over and looked at it earlier this week. The tail cone is off all the way to the base of the horizontal stabs. There's a big scaffolding around it. The rumor is that it was not ferriable to SIN, and Boeing has 40 guys onsite to fix it in place. Pressure bulkhead is busted and some of the main floor beems will have to be replaced. Something is also wrong with the #2 engine and it's going to be pulled.

Just my opinion, but this crew ought to thank God the tail took the lumps instead of the main gear, a la Newark.....
