I worked for a company that gave all the pilots and flight attends a coupon for a Christmas ham around this time every year. At that company, the ham was worth a days pay.
Now that I am here at FedEx, I also had to work over the holiday. So, we had our Thanksgiving dinner at home this weekend. We fed 7 and had plenty of funds left over to pay our expenses and help those who are less fortunate.
They can keep the company ham.

If (imperfect) memory serves, last year the Christmas meal was expensed if you were on a trip. No free turkey on Thanksgiving. FWIW, the only restaurant (including the layover hotel) open in downtown Hartford CT on Thanskgiving night is a sushi bar. Ummm...good edamame.

I work there now - either a ham or turkey worth up to $12. Although $12 is nowhere near a days pay, even for my FO, so it might not be the same company.
