Some thread creep here, do you need to take an iPad out of a case when going through security?

Thanks.

Not very certain what you mean by case but I asked a TSA agent about my Nook and he said I didn't have to remove it like a labtop. Hope this helps.

I've gone 10-12 times through without taking the IPad out.

Sweet, I'd pay big bucks for a knockoff elipse.

Of course with the Bosphore I could dump my european carry all.

You guys and your backpacks or "satchels" must find them really handy on layovers, I bet.

So do you just stash your stuff in a Tauntaun carcass a la Luke Skywalker on the frozen ice planet of Hoth? Real handy in ANC and all but what are we do to on those trips transiting warmer climes like DEL??:p

REI has a Travelers Backpack made by Outdoor Products.
Very sturdy and lots of pockets. Including a hidden passport pocket.
Been around the World with me every month since summer. Holding up great.

You guys make me sick! You are supposed to be professional airline pilots... some of you are even captains. All this talk about backpacks, etc.

I can't believe you guys spend your hard-earned money on something like a back-pack. As a professional airline pilot, let me tell you what I do. I get a new accessory bag for all my professional equipment almost every trip. It costs nothing, and when it gets worn out, I just get a new one. If you guys are going to call yourselves airline pilots, start acting like it...
