Don't.......please.......don't. I sincerely hope block 8 has a serious look at who by and how they are being represented. Contrast campaign platforms and promises with actual performance to date. Is the process more transparent and accessible to date? Or, has a ramrod political agenda appeared............? I am not in this block, but if I was........I would be seriously concerned and moving to correct my "representation'.

I'm not real sure what you are saying here...

But, these 2 [deleted] are huge hypocrites and are only pursuing a personal agenda. The recent "LEC email" without my reps signature AGAIN... has [upset] me off more than any of the previous garbage that they have spewed. Their typical condescending message is loud and clear... "WE KNOW BETTER THAN YOU... BECAUSE WE KNOW THINGS THAT YOU DON"T"

However, they are the same 2 reps that tried to keep the Negotiating Committee Chairman from putting out his opinion of the current progress at the table to the rest of us.

So to sum up their last 3 emails... We don't think you should know what we know, because it might influence your decisions and opinions. But, we want to keep that info to ourselves, so that we can make a decision on your behalf that is totally contrary to what you would do IF you knew what we know. Because we are so much wiser and more informed than you..

Tony and Chris can kiss my [fat lips] RECALL ASAP

These guys are exactly what we don't need right now.

Concur.

The responsible, long-view, level headed thinking expressed on these boards lately have me reexamining my opinions and prejudices of our crew-force and FDX APC posters in general. Bravo!

I thought I was the only one that was offended by the "I know better than you" messages. Like they said in my previous life....b-bye.

Not sarcasm. Just illustrating that who you vote in as a rep matters.

CB's/TH's methods and goals appeal to some and I'd like everyone to realize what they're asking for.

As offended as I was when there was a surplus of tax money in the Clinton era. Said he wasn't refunding the surplus because we didn't know how to spend it right..

I have a problem with elected officials, at any level, who don't believe the people that put them there know what is best for themselves.

Sometimes that's true though, or else they wouldn't have elected those knuckelheads in he first place.

Some how the MEC/LEC meetings which will be germane for the recall efforts on CB, TH and TC were scheduled over the Valentines Day time frame........Go figure. I thought it might be helpful to outline some of the relevant block member options. The process demands that during the appropriate meeting that a motion be proposed, seconded, discussed and then voted on (simple majority) on the recall of said MEC members. If a block member cannot be present for the meeting and vote, then he/she may designate (in writing) a member who may cast their vote via proxy. The proxy must be hand written (not printed out on computer and signed). It must specify the member who is casting the vote, who the member is designating as their proxy and specifically what the vote is; i.e. "I vote to recall Capt. So and So" A member present for the meetings can carry, present and cast up to 3 proxy votes for other members in addition to their own vote. So, in short an organized block could send 25 members to a meeting and effectively cast 100 votes. At LEAST that will be required to accomplish an effective recall. If, at the meeting the members present (including proxies) result in a majority recall then the MEC Chair must notify ALPA National of the results. National will then send notification and Recall ballots to ALL relevant block members for recall determination. The process is long and decidedly difficult. But if a block is organized, determined and resolved the dominoes will fall like clockwork. So there you have it.........
