FedEx Hopefuls and Emerald Coast
Hey Folks,
Just a heads up. Just as you would prepare yourself for a check ride by "chair flying", studying your procedures and making sure you're up on the FOM, you need to have the same philosophy about being prepared for an interview.
Let's face it, FedEx is the ultimate goal for many and the competition will be great. You need to be the one that "out shines" the competition. In order to do that you MUST be prepared.
I just attended my second interview prep with Emerald Coast. Even though I am on the "inside" at FedEx, I still wanted that "extra" preparedness just as I would for a check ride.
Hands down, you won't find a more professional group of folks.
JUST DO IT!
See ya on the line...

I couldn't agree more,
I used Emerald Coast and it was the best thing I did in preperation for my interview. My prep time with A.H was fantastic and it had me extremely comfortable for the panel interview. The best thing is that they don't coach you to deliver canned answers but instead show you how to draw on your own life experiences and deliver them smoothly.
In my opinion if you have an upcoming interview and don't use Emerald Coast you will be behind those that have.
Good Luck.

Agree with using these guys for Fedex both sim and interview prep. Maybe other carriers too. Fltops did not prepare me well for an interview at another carrier, but then not sure anything would have prepared me for that experience.

Can you explain what you mean by "inside" at FedEx?
I attended an Emerald Coast seminar in February of last year, hoping I would get called for an interview. Haven't gotten the call yet, but I don't regret the time and money I spent on the seminar. I'll definately try to attend another seminar if I ever get the call, and would probably do the sim. prep as well.
Thanks.

I sure wish I had done EC prep. I know for a fact that I did not answer the interview Q's in the proper format. Yes I know that I still may not have gotten the job if i did, but it sure didn't help any. Good luck to those applying.

Hey boys and girls,
At age 60, Emerald Cost prepped me for my DAL interview. The DAL interview panel did not ask me a single question that I wasn't prepped for.....I have family at FDX that also used them, successfully. Money well spent.
If you get an interview, and don't have the prep money, borrow it. That will be a much better investment in your future,
Good luck,
BG

What is a FedEx "internal"???
Quite simply, FedEx gives internal applicants (people already working at the company....) preference when determining the order of interviewing. Numerous discussions on the merits/drawbacks of doing at least 6 months work for them before you are able to apply for a line job.
