Default FDX-Make-up Disability

Are we not allowed to drop a trip that was picked up for Make-up Disability (MUD)? VIPS won't let me do it and I can't find it in the contract anywhere that says we can't. Thanks.

Correct.. Also can't drop a make-up sick or Airport STBY (any pay code).

I've wondered the same thing myself.

You also have no pay protection. If the trip cancels, you get no MUD credit. I will never make up sick or disability.

I agree. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. Nothing like "volunteering" for a check ride

As usual, I found out the hard way also. I accidentally clicked the wrong m/u selection. The reason that was given to me was -

25.L.1.h
A pilot may not trade or drop a trip for which he does not hold trip guarantee.

Applies to MUS, MUV and MUD(although MUD is not specifically addressed in the m/u section of chap 25).

That makes one of you.

I know two people that made up a whole lot of MUD during 4.A.2B so that they could get a paycheck at the end of their 9th year. I am talking over 100 hours each from their accounts. I was dumbfounded.
