PS It is Ironic to come to the cargo forum, find a post, and expect it not to be FDX related.
My point is simply to address it as such. Put FedEx in the subject line or at least the body. There is no irony in that. I know this shocking news to you, but there are other cargo carriers. I could list them, but I'm sure you wouldn't read past the first one.

Sorry I was trying to type on a droid and you can't edit the title. It s Fedex and I know that you cant drop a ASTBY which seems to mean you dont hold trip guarantee but I didnt see it written anywhere. I wanted to know if a broke airplane trip extended into a ASTBY trip what would happen

call FDX ALPA Contract Enforcement (not UPS Contract Enforcement) & they will tell you exactly what would happen.

report back after you talk to them

yes, you can not drop trips that you do not hold trip guarantee for. If you pick up a airport standby on makeup that has guarantee then you should be able to drop it. I understand you are not talking about a vanilla standby. A trip revision in domicile that results in a standby is different altogether, they can release you once you duty out or they can lay you over in domicile and resume the revised trip but once you check in on a regular trip you do not have many rights until you become sub eligible.

Probably not unless there are pictures.
