Default Interesting Drone article...

This is why we won't see drones flying cargo anytime soon.

See there is your problem, Fox News represents conservatives and the old way. If you watched one of the progressive channels they would be all for this drones and the future crap. They are particularly impressed with drones and the kill list and how we deal with terrorists. Not the old fashioned way of using drones to track the terrorist so we can catch them and lock them up in Gitmo. That is too cruel and inhumane. Much better to shove a drone up their backside while they and their loved ones are bent over towards Mecca.

Bottomline, if we can operate drones safely in Pakistan airspace, then it must be good enough for the good old US of A.

Will there be a "drone cutout" with the new fatigue rules? We don't want those things flying around tired.

I had dinner tonight with a friend in the FAA who works in the UAV certification business. He said no cargo aircraft in our lifetimes. We may see single-pilot ops with remote backup in case of emergency.

Not sure if that was sarcasm, but foxnews is not "conservative". They don't try to shove the leftist idea down your throat like other outlets, but they are middle of the road AT BEST. Left-leaning folks love to talk about the evil, conservative foxnews; very comical. Bill o'reilly is a liberal....always has been. Real conservatives like glen beck, michael savage get fired.

And about drones: they're coming boys.......may not be next year or in ten, but they are on their way.

The Navy just crashed another Global Hawk after they lost contact with it. This is an industry and technology 15-20 years old, with one of the more advanced platforms.

Also take into account that the manning and support footprint to support UAV ops is 3-4 times larger than a manned fighter squadron.

Relax boys, your jobs are safe from the UAV Boogeyman.

Why? Are the UAVs in the US or closer to the theater? Thx
