FDX/NOCAT in ROC
#1
Just looked at a pairing I'm flying and it is an 8:00 am departure from ROC and it says NOCAT. Anyone got any gouge on places to stop on the way to the ramp to pick up some food...looks like it could be a long morning without some food.

Saying you got breakfast at Burgerking when you didn't is a falsification. Our Contract is a little murky on the difference, but there is a difference between a scheduled "NoCat pairing", and one where it was scheduled, and you didn't get catering. When it is scheduled, and doesn't arrive, then you can go out and buy "up to" $25.00 worth and keep receipt. I'm not sure anyone at the company is really interested in clearing up the misconception.
TonyC....wish to chime in?

You're not supposed to actually eat. You're just supposed to take comfort in the fact that you get another $25.
L_J's got it right.
Except, when it's scheduled and it doesn't arrive, you don't have time to go out and purchase a replacement. You just get a letter from the Duty Officer saying you can claim another $25. That good feeling is all the nourishment we deserve.
