FDX- USPS Contract ????

No news from anyone from FDX Management about the outcome of the USPS contract but the UPS folks are already breaking out the bubbly to celebrate their increased flying as a result ????

The contract award is supposed to happen in the spring, I think around April/May.

I wouldn't concern yourself too much with these rumors. In my 15 years at UPS, the rampant rumor mill is rarely correct.

I know I heard from a bus driver we are getting 120%. Plus we are going to merge with USAIR West after the APA and east guys kick them out.

I would say if people are breaking out the bubbly, they are doing it behind closed doors because they are only rumors. I think the pilot group knows better than to count on any good news from UPS!
