FDX Internet reimbursement

Does anybody know what the max per day Internet reimbursement is for FDX international hotel wifi? The free wifi here is crappy, and would like to upgrade it.

I vaguely remember a JL (SCP) FCIF that said $25 (shortly after he qualified on a widebody Intl airplane)? Does anyone still have a copy?

Is there ethernet? I usually make my own wifi from the ethernet connection using an Airport Express. Usually way faster than the hotel wifi.

Here, it costs for upgrade either way.

Another one of those things we have to press to test, it seems.

Just did it a few months ago and no problems claiming just under $25 per day on hotel internet. Of course, YMMV

The Hotel guys have been good about getting internet included for us, so haven't had to pay for awhile. But the JL standard was $25 max, and you had to submit a receipt for anything over $15.

Good to know note-- some places the basic cost is over $25 and they were/are identified as high cost cities (DXB was one) where you have to get ACP/Flt Capt blessing to be reimbursed for the higher cost.

Not sure if you can expense an upgrade if the basic service is covered by the contract. Best answers would come from your Crew Travel Auditor.

Just a heads up: the hotel in Seoul that we're currently at (Hyatt, I think) has terrible standard internet. Really not even worth having. Some pages would not even load and the ones that did made dial-up look fast.
I called the front desk to ask if there were problems with the internet and they upgraded me to the premium for free.

A couple years back I was in Reno. The wireless is free, but the ethernet costs $20 or something. But I didn't realize that. I couldn't get the wireless to work very well so I connected to the ethernet. Since I didn't know about the additional charge, it was billed to the room. I got an email a few days later from travel audit about the expense. Explained the situation. I just had to get a receipt and submitted it.

It is also the only charge less than $25 that always requires a receipt.
