Default Gemini

Anyone know anything about Gemini? Do they have a hard recency requirement? I've not flown (except a recurrent in the sim) in two years, but I have 4500TT and 1800+ PIC Turbine..

What's their modus operendi? Do they lean heavy on ex-USAF KC-10 drivers? Or does a former regional jet and citation guy have a chance?

I've got a resume in, and left a voice mail for the CP (Matt Albers).. any help from fellow members is appreciated..

I hear they are hiring now. Gemini has a mix of military guys but recently they have been hiring quite a few RJ guys. Just RJ experience does not rule you out. It probably helps if they are hiring into the MD-11.

looks like your with them.. thanks for the good info.

So who's the guy to get on the phone over there to get yourself noticed? I left a VM for Mr. Albers (his secretary I suppose), and I've had stuff in with them for 3-4 years now, and keep updating. I had gotten an "affirmative action" survey some 2 years ago and sent it back (white male) and never heard anything.

A mystery indeed. I've faxed them my stuff several times and even stopped by the office to drop off my resume last winter in IAD.

Good Luck, I gave up.

14 days on 14 days off, $45K/yr to start, and upgrade in a reasonable time on an MD-11.. sounds pretty good to me. Sure it ain't no Fedex or UPS, but it beats what I'm doing now (by a long shot).

If you work there, I'd be glad to swap you..

I too am not happy about the state of our industry and the pay situation, but the market is flooded with pilots, and there unions have lost their power, so we're at the mercy of the system.

I am sorry to disappoint but you cannot be talking about Gemini. There are no14 days on, 14 days off schedules. The lines are built for 18 days. So, you could be gone for up to 36 days. 35k to start not 45. The first 6 to 8 weeks, $50 a day.
I don't understand your comment on the upgrade in the 11. If you hired into the 10 there is an equipment lock for transition of 3 years. the most Jr. capt on the 10 has been here 6 years . Do not be surprised to see us park a couple of 10s in January.
If you really want to work here keep bugging them politely that includes you "Z". We have not hired since 05, so that could be the reason for no call backs in the last year.
