Try Parallels software for mac. It's 79.99 retail and works like a charm. I was impressed. You can get it for free at most places on-line if you buy a new mac, or you can also find it outright for cheaper...that's just what I paid at the local apple store. FYI, you still need to get windows xp, full edition, just like you would for boot camp.

Your other option is bootcamp, but in parallels, your still in OS10 and have a window open to ""windows" just like when you run any other program. It works damn near as fast as my mac. the only reason i got it was to get to fast bid and the green screen since the co. doesn't support macs any more!!!

I'm using a mbpro with 2gb ram...

Is there an easier way?
I sent you a PM with the network name and PW (encryption). Set it up as a new location "AOC" under Network preferences with Show "airport" connection; select join a specific and use the network name and PW under the Airport tab. Under Proxies, select manually FTP proxy server:

west.proxy.fedex.com : 3128

Check ftp proxy, web proxy, and secure web proxy containers

You don't need parallels or bootcamp.

You can get a lite version of Office for the Mac for about $115 at amazon that has all the features you'll ever need.

I've heard all software is free if you know where and how to look. Good thing a few people are buying software.

I also went PC to Mac recently. I don't expect to go back and I don't even have a cool mac. I have the used $600 ebay special mac complete with exploding battery. The new battery is on the way for free.

I had an old Vaio PC that I loved.

It got to where it never shook off 15 or so spyware/adware programs. I tried all the anti-virus software, etc....

One day I started googling the spyware names - turns out half of them I got from AOL! (I was a subscriber then). I called to complain and Hadji told me I should just get better anti-virus software.

I'm now on my second Mac, and I ain't going back......

All I know is that I don't have to run special programs to make my system work with the programs that are out there.

I'm a long time Mac fan but I travel with a PC laptop because the Sony Vaio is so much lighter that any of the Mac's (at least that I'm aware of). I hate to hijack this thread but ... I've never been able to get my PC connected to the wireless system in the AOC and other places. Could someone please give me a tutorial for PC beginners to accomplish this (PM would be fine so that we don't bother other folks that aren't interesed).

Thanks in advance

Mark

PS ... If it matters I'm using Windows XP Professional and a wireless "B" PCMCIA card.

I would think being a wide body CA at FedEx your wallet would be heavier than any computer.
